Your starting point for managing, supporting, and understanding UVLists community email lists.

This site brings together practical guides, shared procedures, and reference information for list administrators, moderators, and volunteers. Whether you are reviewing a held message, helping a subscriber, or learning how our services work, start here.

Common tasks

  • Manage a list or review a held message: Use Postorius to moderate messages, manage subscriptions, and change list settings.
  • Help someone join or leave a list: Direct them to the relevant list in the list directory, where they can find web and email instructions.
  • Find an earlier conversation: Use HyperKitty to browse and search list archives. Access to private archives depends on the list’s settings.
  • Share list information or a QR code: Visit go.uvlists.org for phone-friendly list pages and downloadable QR codes.
  • Request help or report a problem: See Contact UVLists. Requests are tracked in Request Tracker (RT) so that follow-up stays together.

Documentation and guidance

  • Services for List Administrators explains the tools and services available to administrators and moderators.
  • The list directory links to each community list’s description, guidelines, owner contact address, and joining instructions.
  • For questions about list rules or moderation, use the owner-contact address on the relevant list page.
  • For spam, harassment, or misuse, see reporting abuse.

For questions about list administration, technical problems, or other UVLists services, email helpdesk@uvlists.org or visit Contact UVLists.

When requesting help, include the list name and a clear description of the issue. For delivery problems, include the affected email address and the approximate date and time of the message, if known. Do not send passwords.
