Vital Communities List Migration/03-closure-announcement

Sample List Closure Announcement

Subject: Barnard has moved to UVLists

Hello,

This is the final message from barnard@lists.vitalcommunities.org. As of 10/27/2026, the old list is closed and the community list is operating at UVLists.

As part of the move, the list is being renamed from Barnard to Barnard-Discuss. This is the same Barnard community list; its name, address, and service provider are changing.

If you were still subscribed to Barnard when it closed, your subscription and delivery preference have been transferred. You do not need to subscribe again. A welcome message from the new list will follow.

From now on, send posts to:

  barnard-discuss@lists.uvlists.org

Please replace barnard@lists.vitalcommunities.org in your contacts and saved drafts. Messages sent to the old address are not forwarded or posted. An automatic reply will direct senders to the new list through 11/03/2026; after that date, the old address may stop responding. Attached to this message is a Contact Card (vcf) with the new list information. This file can also be downloaded directly from https://go.uvlists.org/barnard-discuss.vcf and can also be found in the UVLists Wiki at https://uvlists.org/wiki/Lists:Barnard#List_information

To manage your subscription, change between individual messages and digest delivery, or unsubscribe, visit:

If you did not expect to be transferred, you can unsubscribe at that page or by emailing barnard-discuss-leave@lists.uvlists.org.

For transition help, contact hello@uvlists.org. For questions about list topics or moderation, contact barnard-discuss-owner@lists.uvlists.org.

Thank you,

The UVLists team
