It is not an 'official' list set up by the town government. It is open to anyone who wants to participate. Residents are encouraged to subscribe and post; non-residents may subscribe, but are asked not to post.

<small>(taken from <nowiki>https://lists.vitalcommunities.org/lists/info/pomfret</nowiki>)</small>

=== List information ===
{{Mailing List Info
|community=Pomfret, Vermont
|name=Pomfret Discuss
|email=pomfret-discuss-owner@lists.uvlists.org
|activesince=Unknown
|purpose=Email discussion forum for Pomfret, Vermont
|webaddress=https://lists.uvlists.org/postorius/lists/pomfret-discuss.lists.uvlists.org/
|archivesaddress=https://lists.uvlists.org/hyperkitty/list/pomfret-discuss@lists.uvlists.org/
|posting_address=pomfret-discuss@lists.uvlists.org
|contact_address=pomfret-discuss-owner@lists.uvlists.org
|mobile_landing=pomfret
|subscribe_address=pomfret-discuss-join@lists.uvlists.org
|unsubscribe_address=pomfret-discuss-leave@lists.uvlists.org
|vcard_file=pomfret-discuss.vcf
}}

=== Posting and guidelines ===
Summary – Keep it Local, Keep it Civil, Limit Commercial Postings to Once a Month. No anonymous posts – If your first and last name are not obvious from your email address, please sign your post. Please include a relevant "Subject" line in your email. The intent is to keep the discussion on and about Pomfret. The issue doesn't need to be unique to Pomfret, but it must be specific to Pomfret. Subscribers to the list are assumed to be in agreement about that simple constraint. If in doubt about whether a topic is appropriate for our list, consider this: If there are other online forums, such as email lists, news groups or blogs that address your issue, please take your discussion to one of them. Some examples: Discussion of legislation in Concord/Montpelier or Washington is ok if it addresses a Pomfret issue. Discussion of national or state issues in the context of a warned town meeting resolution is ok. Announcements for meetings, rallies or demonstrations in Pomfret, or for car pools leaving from Pomfret are ok. Forwarding content of emails or web sites that are not related to Pomfret is absolutely not ok. Forwarding of copyrighted content is (obviously) not ok. This includes pasting substantial portions of any published material, unless the publisher specifies that re-posting is permitted!

=== General List Rules ===

{{MailingListPartialGeneralRules}}

For questions about this list's rules or moderation, contact the [mailto:pomfret-discuss-owner@lists.uvlists.org list administrators].

=== Legal Disclaimer ===

{{MailingListPartialDisclaimer}}

=== Join or leave ===

{{MailingListPartialJoinLeave
|webaddress=https://lists.uvlists.org/postorius/lists/pomfret-discuss.lists.uvlists.org/
|subscribe_address=pomfret-discuss-join@lists.uvlists.org
|unsubscribe_address=pomfret-discuss-leave@lists.uvlists.org
}}

=== Archive Access ===
The archives are available to list members through the list's web page.

{{Mailing List Help Footer}}

[[Category:Mailing lists|Pomfret, Discuss]] [[Category:Pomfret Vermont]]
